I was planning to do the dry start method with my new tank, but it started smelling weird and I noticed there was mold all over the driftwood near the moist substrate.
What should I do about this? Right now I'm soaking the driftwood in hot water. I'd like to do DSM but I don't want mold to ruin everything. How much slower would dwarf baby tears grow if I started them under high light in water?
I have a high-powered skimmer that was meant for saltwater. It'll add tons of tiny air bubbles to the sump, which would add CO2 I guess, whatever is in the air.
What should I do?
I may just fill it up because I don't want to battle mold for months... Unless dry'd be faster?
Thoughts? :icon_conf
