I got a sample of this moss from Asia. The sample that I got was mostly dead though. So after months of good light, water, and nutrients I've got a healthy little bit of moss. Now I want to get it to spread horizontally... to spread out. What's the best way to do this?

You could break the piece into smaller pieces, and attach them in different places. Mini Pellia is really a patience thing... Needs a lot of patience, and a year later you have more to split up.
