Miller microplex and fe gluc issues

Been wanting to try miller's and fe gluc for a while now and I finally got some. Been using it for a couple weeks now and plants have so far responded very good. Problem is, I've been getting a thick milky film on the top of my tank. I have to scoop it out every couple days or it gets pretty stringy and gross. I have a lot of surface agitation and it still doesn't get rid of it. No other changes to the tank except for adding these two ferts into my trace mix. Anyone else experience this?

Jr. Didn't I tell you to mix little Excel/metricide in the mixture. Milky film will go away once changed.
Lol. Yes you did but, that milky film does't happen in the trace mix solution. Only in the tank. I'm guessing I have organics or something in the tank but this only happened when I srarted using the millers.
I have the same thing despite dosing EI using CSM+B.

Everything was fine while only dosing csm and 11% iron. I then added fe gluc and millers to my trace mix and now I get this stringy film. I'll probably add some excel to my trace and see if that helps.
yeah, I am kind of leaning towards feeding habits that add protein in water...... I may be wrong. I am very interested to know too how to prevent the scum from accumulating without sing a surface skimmer.

Using CSM+B and Fe I definitely see the surface film try to form after dosing.
No other changes.

Can't be from feeding since I haven't fed the tank in weeks. Just some pond snails in there and i just let them feed off the plant matter.

I never got it in any of my tanks when just using csm and fe. I also never got the mold growth that people talk about, and I make 1-1.5 month supplies. Maybe just lucky pr something. This is the first time I have gptten scum this bad. I don't know if it's the millers and fe gluc or something else. Nothing has changed in this tank except the lighting. I upgraded fixtures but the scum was there beforehand so I'm going to rule that out as a cause.
