Has anybody used this stuff in their freshwater tanks to speed up the cycle?

I have some left over from my reefing days and to my amazement read it can be used for faster cycles of freshwater tanks.

I just set up my tank using aquasoil and have read ammonia leeching is quite common in this soil. I have dosed this to try and speed the cycle, anybody have any input on this product? Thanks.

PS: Also doing water changes of course :icon_cool

This stuff is very popular over at reef central, I imagine its the same principle as BioSpira, just maybe different bacteria. I just dosed it last night, figured it wouldnt hurt. Tested my ammonia too and it read 0.5 ppm. Hopefully it works.
