I have read that micro sword / copragrass (Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae) prefers to have a softer substrate. If I use Eco-Complete Coarse will it still carpet the tank or will it not do as well because of the rock?
Lighting is a 2 bulb T5 HO light with a 24w Flora Sun Max Plant Growth bulb and a 24w Ultra Sun Super Daylight bulb. Tank is a 20g, so thats over 2w per gallon.
PS im newish to planted tanks, I had a 75g for several years with a few plants in it but nothing like what I am wanting to do now.

Thanks for the help.

I have microswords in Caribsea Eco-Complete and it's spreading like wildfire...not bunching yet but i'm sure once they run out of space they'll start growing more. Not sure if it's coarse, tho. The granules are about the size of peppercorns...

Bump: This may help as well:
