Hello people reading this journal, I am currently working on a huge forest deep sea intricate underwater tank. At the moment I have one huge log in my tank a few trees, I am currently also working on getting more fish for my tank. My ammonia level is at normal level, and I currently just added a little phosphate for my plants which is a necessity for a forest. I also recently cleaned my tank and I am using black diamond blasting sand(my favorite). I hope in the future my dream tank will come to life, but in order to get that dream tank. I have to do a lot of work.
Some plants I am trying to get are sagittarias subulata, ludwigia repens, amazon sword, dwarf water lettuce, water sprites, java jern maybe a little more. Also the fish I want are glowlight tetra, Guppies, and Zebra Danios. Also I am planning to get some riparium plants in the corner of my tank, a nice clean waterfall to give my tank more of a forest theme. I could also use some flat landscape and more rocks. Overall I am determined to get my tank on the right track to being a beautiful forest looking tank. The equipment of my tank is a T8 light that is 18 inches above my black diamond blasting sand, and an Aqueon Quietflow 10 filter.
I like your trees. Zebra Danios are a good fish to pick, but they will make lots of babies too. They are not very expensive either, which makes it easier to buy them at the pet store.
Unless you remove they parents from the tank they will eat most if not all eggs and larvae.
I would also let them do just that, I have found it impossible over many attempts to raise the fry without defects indoors.
It is horrible euthanizing a bucket full of fish at a time.
They do fine outdoors luckily.
