Another member told me that the Maxijet 1200 PH could be used externally (ie inline). The following websites mentions it briefly. Can anyone verify this?

Aquarium | Power Heads | Maxi-Jet 1200 Powerhead - 295 gph - AS0159 - ThatPetPlace.com

Aquarium Systems Pump/Powerhead—Maxi-Jet, Mini-Jet & Micro-Jet - Marine Depot - Marine and Reef Aquarium Super Store

http://www.marineandreef.com/PDF/maxijet.pdf

Drsfostersmith: "The powerhead must be at least partially submersed but may also be used fully submersed."

Edit: I looks like they were meant for external use as well as internal.

That's interesting,I have a Maxijet 900 and now I'm thinking if I connect a 5/8 flexible tubing to the inlet,I can move the pump itself out of water.
I know Aquaclear402 powerhead for example has to be fully submersed to pump, but Maxijet?I'll find out tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.
Ken.
