I recently ordered some Marsilea quadrifolia and expect it in a few days. I love the look of it as a ground cover plant and it should look good once it takes hold.

My question is: How do you plant it? I've searched and can't seem to find the answer. Should it be broken down into smaller groupings and then planted? Or should it be planted in a large bunch?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I've always planted my M. hirsuta in 2-4'' stems...
It has taken quite a lot of time and patience for it to start growing well and start spreading around nicely. I guess you'll get a better cover faster if you plant it in smaller pieces. :)
