I got these about 10 days ago and I'm impressed with the growth speed.

One question, some of the plants are developing very long roots with hairs. Can I prune these without killing the plant? And what is the best way to prune the plant itself? Cut when it forms an ofshoot?

You can prune the roots if they get too long. You can separate the offshoots whenever you want. If you want to thin out your collection, just pluck out the larger plants and keep the ones that look nice. You could get rid of most of your plants while leaving only 1 or 2, and you'd probably have to repeat the process a week or two later.

I'm sure others will also but I know for a fact angelfish will strip the roots off once they realize they are tasty.
