I have 2 chain sword plants that my red-eyed tetras have chewed to pieces. They were planted about 2 months ago but never seemed to be able to get started.

The only other plant I have at the moment is another amazon sword - not sure what type but it is about a foot high.

They are planted in flourite and I am using CO2 in a 29 gal tank, my lighting is coralife light (2x18 watt) T5. I'm going to start using root tabs as well.:icon_ques

Will the plants grow again if I cut them right down to the substate?

it might. Are the tetras still in the tank? They'll just eat the new sprouts?

And your light might be a little low for low plants. The amazon is thriving because it can reach high toward the light.
