High light, soft water.
Melting is usually caused by a change in water parameters. So basically, you have a plant that was grown in different parameters (probably soft and acidic) and you have put it into a tank that has harder or higher pH water.
If it survives, it'll just melt away a bit, and regrow, and the new growth will be accustomed to your water. I've never had a problem with this plant melting, so I can't help you with specifics, but the best you can do is recreate the conditions the plant came from, and other than that, the best you can do is wait.
