It reached 88 degrees today in Western New York, and I have been considering purchasing one of the computer fans that are toted as a solution to keep a tanks temp down. After a quick trip to radio shack, I realized that wiring a plug to a computer fan was beyond me, so I took a different approach.

I had one of these laying around

A quick trip to target bought me this fan for 5.99 (its in the air conditioner aisle) The one I bought is stainless steel.

I put them together and got a quick and neat looking solution without taking up space around the tank for a larger fan. I put it on the back of my and it brought my 5.5 open top down from 82 to 76 degrees.
