i have a 10 gallon tank which i wanted to plant some low light plants what cfl bulb is better a 13watt cool white orday light. i'm a begginer and just starting a planted tank. thanks

thanks gmyukonon24s. i forgot to ask also about the flourite substrate. is true that it makes the tank cloudy or its only at the beginning.

I've never used the fluorite substrate, but I'm guessing that it could cloud up if you disturb the substrate. If it does cloud up eventually it does go away.

You have to rinse flourite very well. If you do that the water won't be cloudy at all.

Either put it in a bucket & run the hose in it until the water runs clear.

Or if it's too cold to do that (it's freezing in D.C.!) take a mesh strainer and pour a bit in then rinse it & repeat until done.

It will take longer this way but it's worth it!
