Hi I just moved and I will have to move again soon. As a result I had to combine more large fish into one 75 gallon then I wanted too. At this point the water is pristine, with smart feeding and water changes. There is a large bio load on this tank. Can anyone recommend some tough low light plants that can help suck up some of the nitrates. The tank mainly houses polypterus. Thanks

Low Light Plants

Good morning mc...

Any of the ferns are pretty tough and have a chemical in them that makes them distasteful to most fish. A couple of others that are pretty tough are the Onion plant and Peace lily.

I've heard floaters are good for this.

Red root floater
Frogbit
Water lettuce
anything but duckweed

Floating plants generally grow and are good for this. Duckweed is one that comes to mind right of hand. I have it in my 55 gallon. Every week I take out over half of it and it back again by the next wc.
