Does anyone know of a company who makes low iron rimmed tanks, specifically nanos? I have some Deep Blue Professional, looking for more, thanks.

Seems silly to worry about low iron in the glass yet still have "ugly" trim? You could always buy a rimless tank that is low iron and add the trim.
I disagree. The only glass nano's made are the piece of junk brands at the big box stores with terrible silicone, terrible glass and terrible workmanship. Or you buy the rimless, low iron nice tanks. There is no middle ground, nobody making a decent rimmed tank.

I live in Arizona where the humidity is low and water evaporates like crazy. With an ADA tank with a lid my tank evaporates so much that I can't hardly leave the thing over a week without the water getting too low. I don't want to mess with topping off the water every day or two.

I can't understand why there wouldn't be a market for a quality rimmed tank with good glass, silicone and workmanship. Seems like the only options are pure junk or rimless.
Can you buy tank rim clips and cut a piece of glass at a window shop? I did that with a tank of mine - I don't trust my fish to jump out, and the water stays there longer with a cover, so I paid $6 for some little clips that support a lid.
I've done that in the past but the evaporation is still more than I would like. With the rimmed tank the lid pretty much seals up any gaps. With the rimless you shouldn't have the lip touching the glass sides so there is some gap.

The tank is in my kitchen, with people constantly around it, cooking, cleaning etc, so I would just prefer a nicely made rimmed tank.
go custom with someone like glasscages. they will likely be able to hook this up. they might even make you a lid for it

rimmed nano tank is kind of an odd request though... you are certainly in the minority wanting a rim on a small tank
Try these guys out, but shipping will be a lot. Glasscages
^^^ yeah like this guy says you will have to pay quite a bit for shipping... IMO not worth it for a small tank

Though they have interesting dimensions! 10 x 20 x 6 Tall, 8 x 16 x 6 Tall , etc.
I'll probably just wait for the Deep Blue to get back in stock, but thanks for the ideas.

So is low iron a necessity or just clean corners and clean silicone? I didnt realize the deep blue rimmed tanks were low iron to begin with?
I'd like as low iron if possible. Deep blue supposedly has better glass, i'm not certain its low iron.
