My tank is about 5 weeks now and I cannot get rid of this hair algae. I am lost on what to do. I have tried manual removal and added 10 cherry shrimp. Here is my setup.
Tank = 20G Nuvo Fusion
Light = Chihiros WRG2 scheduled at 50% and 6700k for 7 hours a day
Co2 = Fzone dual stage
Soil = amazonia 2 with the power sand under it
Plants = Eleocharis Belem and peacock moss. Both growing well. Started with barely any hairgrass and its carpeting pretty well.
Live stock
Cherry shrimp started with 10 but 1 just pulled one dead one out of the tank stuck to the filter. I see 5 our moving now and the other seem to be hiding. I saw a bunch out 2 days ago.
Tank parameters
Temp 73
PH 6.6
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 10-20
Gh = 6
Kh = 2
Any ideas or help would greatly be appreciated.
