Hey guys,

I don't know much about lighting for my planted tank and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with lighting a 5.5 gallon (16 inch) and a 10 gallon tank (20 inch).

I have low - medium light plants.

I was looking at some finnex lights like the planted+ and stingray and they seem alright. I'm open to suggestions and would love to hear about what lights you guys have had success with.

Thanks!

I have a planted plus clip on my 5 gallon. It really seems to be the perfect light. I had a regular stingray on it for a while, but that seemed to be too bright, and it was difficult to position higher above the tank.

Finnex will work well on your ten gallon. If you want to save money you can go with a shop light clamp light which is what I chose for my ten gallon. I will be keeping DHG and Monte Carlo. I went with two lights and spent about $20 or so.
