Hi the spec of my tank is below:

Rio 180 Aquarium:
Volume: approx. 180 litres (47.5 US gallons)
Light System with electronic ballast and 2 x 30 W tube
Size: 101 x 50 x 41 cm

I don't think the lighting is enough for my tank (60 watt at present). Giving me 1.2 WPG.

The tubes this tank takes is 36" T8 tubes. The thing is that I can only find 36" tubes in 30 watt, are tubes limited in wattage due to their size, meaning 30 watts is the most you can get out of a 36" tube??

I was hoping that I could just replace the 2 tubes in there rather than having to fork out on a whole new lighting unit, that can hold more tubes.

Any help would be appeciated, I am based in the UK for buying purposes.

Cheers

You can look into overdriving the current bulbs. More wattage, same bulb.

You won't find 36" T-8's in high wattages, sorry.
