Around here I buy them for outdoor fire pits.
Stores that sell stone, soil, bark and so on by the truckload.
You might also find such stores by looking up brick, masonry, stone, concrete and similar terms.
Start making some phone calls and ask each one, "well, if you don't sell it, do you know who might?"

Monster aquarium has them around $2.00 a pound which is very reasonable.
