[Mangala]

Anyone use this stuff, notice any weirdness with their water afterwards?

I used some to adhere some rocks to each other and make a nifty little hidey-hole for my filter. Everything checks out as far as the normal chems we look for - ammonia, nitrites/nitrates and chlorine etc... But my snails die in that tank. Fish are absolutely fine. Snails? Dead. Anyone know if there's something in this "aquarium safe" silicon by loctite? locktite? I think it's loctite... that kills snails?

Specifically apple/mystery snails. I haven't tried any other snails in that tank. I want it to be clean of other snails.

Most likely the water turns some chemicals in the glue into a formaldehyde or something like it.

Do you think it will... wear out eventually? Perhaps I should contact the manufacturer...

That would be wise to do. I use there gel super glue to fix stuff in for the tank no problems as of yet

ive used the product but not for anything submerged in the tank. I used it to coat and seal some other two part epoxy from being exposed to moisture from loosing its hardness when building an extra cannister for my diy co2.
