Figured I'd start this up local for those looking for cuttings, rizomes, and runners and those who have said things for trade, sale, and donations.

Currently I have the following immersed cuttings and runners for trade locally:

- Pogostemon Helferi (Downoi)
- Elocharis Acicularis (Dwarf Hairgrass)
- Hydrocotyle verticillata (Whorled Pennywort)

Location: I live in Howard County, but I work in PG. If you are interested I'm willing to meet.

I would be interested in some Downoi. If you found some daphnia maybe we could work out a trade I have a lot of:

hygrophila pinnatifida
Riccia
Water sprite (floating)
Brazilian Pennywort

Are you worried about snails?

I'll have to check the troughs to see what I've got. Planning on doing that close to Friday since I get home late from work.

hygrophila pinnatifida
Brazilian Pennywort
Would definitely be interested in some more Pinnatifida and some Brazilian Pennywort. One more Hydrocotyle species left after that and I have them all!

Sorry for the delay, between off hour calls from work and the GF driving me up a wall and around the state I've had little time to follow up on a lot of stuff.

I checked the troughs for daphnia, it looks like I have some. I caught some to move into one of my emersed setups so they could munch on the fallen flora and to get a population growing. Once they establish I'll more than happily throw some your way. The ones I had in the trough are slim, but will be hard to pick out from mosquito larvae. I've done my best, but worst case on the larvae that got through I hope my fly traps catch that live in the emersed setup.

As for the downoi, let me know when you're interested. I'll be free Wednesday night to package them up and meet, as well as Thursday night. PM me for details.

Another note, I'm thinking of a tear down of one of my cubes as I'm getting bored with Eco-Complete. If anyone wants a DHG mat that's around 4" x 5" let me know. I'll let go of it for $20 or let me know what you'd be willing to trade.

Pics of it:

I'm looking for marsilea minuta I don't have a lot to trade but I will pay
Free Myriophyllum mattogrossense and hydrocotyle sibthipioides if anyone wants some.
Thanks so much for the cuttings! They make my little 5 gallon betta tank look like an awesome jungle. :D

Looking good!
So I've started my Aquarium Science class at CMIT Middle School in District Heights. We're currently cycling our ten 10 G tanks (generously donated by House of Tropicals!). We desperately need to fill them with plants. Does anyone have ANY cuttings that I could pick up? I would so greatly appreciate it, as would my students!

I will have alot of Brazilian Pennywort when I do my next trimming, I could throw in some jungle vals as well. Especially if it's for the pursuit of science.:D
So can we start this up again? My former account (which I used to start this thread) started giving me issues so I started over. Looking to setup a Mr. Aqua 6.5 and lost a lot of plants due to having someone babysit my emersed tanks while I was out on business...
I think that's a great idea. I have some water lettuce if your looking for some floaters. In a couple weeks I'll have some wisteria to offer.
I generally have RRF, dwarf sag, hygro sp. tiger, anacharis, and emersed Ludwigia peruensis that I'm willing to trade.
I'll definitely have to contact you for some hygro, dwarf sag and some l. peruensis. Sadly lost cuttings from the stuff that I got from you and I put in my emersed tank when I had gone on a trip.

How do you acclimate RRFs? I never have any luck with them!
They HATE surface agitation. If the top of the leaves get wet they'll melt. When I had a HOB filter I cut and zip-tied a piece of acrylic to redirect the outflow straight down into the tank. With my canister it's a lot easier to avoid surface movement.
I never had a HOB on the tank I had a majority of them in. I placed them in a tank that had a canister, but it did have surface movement so they would rock back and fourth.
Awesome, thanks for getting this started!

I will be doing a large trimming soon, will post here.

Can everyone post up their relative location with their listings? It would make it easier for people to coordinate. Also, if you guys want we could just set up monthly swap meets somewhere so people could swap plants, chat, etc. Doesn't have to be formal like the GWAPA guys do with everything, but it give us a chance to trade/sell plants or hardware on a somewhat regular basis.
