Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays,

I found this video on Youtube, This something I have found in one of my tanks and was wondering if you guys have any insight on what this might be. Is it because of poor water quality or is this normal. If it's bad how to get rid of them? Any help very much appreciated

You will see the white bug jumping around in the beginning of the video.

It's funny how we all get a different view depending on how we came into the hobby and what we have done with previous tanks. I got into fishkeeping due to an interest in big colorful fish and that led me to keeping African cichlids. Any bug in my tank was never considered as a threat as they were more likely to be considered food. As I've worked my way over into planted tanks, I've found several types of wildlife but never bothered to ID them as they were eaten as soon as the fish could catch them. It had not really even occurred to me that a bug could eat a fish!
