I'm pretty sure that NJ Pets in East Hanover got replaced by Petco. I remember going there for my first few fish almost 10 years ago. There's a PetSmart nearby now too.
Mega Pet Shop in Parsippany has closed down. The only place for pets in Parsippany is the Petco by Pathmark.
Rainbow Aquarium in Wayne also closed down a few years ago.
I'm pretty sure that that Pet Pourri store in the Rockaway mall closed down 2 or 3 years ago. Good thing too, that store was horrible.
Also FishTown USA in Ramsey (I think) is not on the list.

Bottom left hand corner says "List updated 6/30/08"

There's some places that are not on the list like Ocean Gallery II on Rt 22, Ely's in Florham Park that's been around for a while. Not sure what criteria you need to be on this list.

The other new one is Aquarium Paradise in Belleville.

If you're looking for plants the best places are Absolutely Fish in Clifton and Fishtown USA in Ramsey.

If anyone is near North Bergen, Westwood Pets is an amazing pet store, extremely kind and caring people and very knowledgable. They are located in Westwood, NJ, you could easily google the address.
