Well I'm starting a 30g bow front tank, and was wondering what a good light would be for growing plants, watts, brand, led, t5 etc.... Also if I bought a fluval 305 would that be to much for a 30g bow front?

What are the tanks measurements?

I think the 305 should be fine.

Dimensions are 24"L x 15"W x 21"H

1 T5HO bulb on the tank will give you medium light, 2 T5HO bulbs will give you high light unless it is 12" above the tank.
