Anyway, I have a 24" single bulb fixture and I just bought an Electric-glo Tiger Barb and also my first live plants. Assuming the plants do okay with my barbs, which is certainly yet to be seen, but if they do what light bulb should I look into that will both bring out the glo color and allow plants to grow?

Do you have a T5HO strip light, a T8 strip light, an aquarium light, or what?

It's a T5HO it should be ok for the plants, I have two T%HO's one 6000k bulb and the other Roseale
