What lighting period do you guys use in general and what are its effects; especially on red plants (ludwigia, rotala). If you guys can give me your two cents (light watts & color, tank vol, fertilizer regime) with respect to red plants.
On a differrent note on the dennerlle website they suggest using a two phase lighting period to combat algae, e.g. 5hrs. on, 4 hrs. off and then again 5 hous on. What are your opinions and observation regarding this especially with red plants and echinodori species.
