I bought a 34L (~7g) AquaOne 'AquaStyle' 380 tank. By default it comes with one 11W compact fluorescent.

I'm pretty sure this is not adequate lighting for plants (less than 2w/gallon).

These tanks are pretty common, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice/experience on how to provide more light? I have to admit I'm a bit noob about fluorescent lights, but I understand I can't just go out and buy a higher watt light and screw it in (if I can, yay!).

Hrm, tempting.

Does anyone have one of these and can tell me the depth? Just trying to figure out if I'd have to lose the filter on the tank as well as the existing light hood.
