That should still be enough light. How high is the 17 gallon vs the 10?
Lighting for Dry Start
Hey all,
So I'm currently running at 36 W PC light over my 60 cm (17 gallon) tank. IME, 36 W worked great dry starting my old 10 gallon--but I'm worried this light is not powerful enough for dry-starting my 17 gallon. Any helpful ideas?

36 cm tall vs whatever is standard for a 10 gallon. its just to hold this tank over until i can put a 2x24 W T5HO light over this tank. just got the T5 fixture. now i need the lights.
