Lighting for 55 gallon.

So I have a 55 gallon planted tank with a 48 inch 2x54 watt T5 light and I want to get a little more lighting for higher light foreground plants. I want something like a glo t5 either 2x54 or 2x24 watt. I think it would grow a lot of algae though. I have 2 watts per gallon and I want at least 3 watts and the light needs to be drilled into my canopy to.

I know E-bay has some single bulb T5HO fixtures and I think Home Depot does also.
Hope that canopy is well ventilated.
The ones I saw on E-bay have no reflectors so it's DIY or none.
That tank is rather tall for lighting a carpet in. You might consider Glosso as it would
not require as much light.
If your current fixture has good reflectors behind those bulbs, you should already have more than enough light for most plants.

Do you have pressurized CO2?
