Hi all,

I am thinking about running a 36 inch Aquatic Life T5 I have on my new 46 gal bowfront. The light is 36 inches long, runs two T5 HO 39watt bulbs, 3500 lumens each. The tank is 35 x 15 x 20".

Do you think this is enough light to do a full planted?

If not, what light would you suggest for this tank to grow most plants and a carpet? A well-priced fixture would be ideal.

Thanks for any insight :smile2:

From what I can tell you want to have 75+ par for plenty of lighting. If it's 20" high and you have 2" of substrate, I would say that 2 finnex 24/7 would put you around 90 bar, beamswork I'm not sure about I'm sure there's plenty of people who experience with that one. I have a 36 bowfront and started buying cheap, and ended up paying more and buying better lights.
