Hi Guys

Quick question for the lighting guys.

A friend of mine bought a 1450L tank and asked me to help him do a simple scape.
The tank is 750 deep.
We are looking to create two island in the tank which then will be under lighting. So the plants will be slighty raised and no ground cover plants used.

Plants we will use are: Amazon swords;vallis; Java fern; Water sprite if we get some, hornwort and maybe a bit off moss.

The light will be suspended from from the roof via pendants.

Was thinking of using one or 2 of those CFL floodlights as lighting.

Any ideas or suggestions for lighting and if I can use the CFL floodlights what Wattage are we looking at?

Regards

So to translate it's about a 380 gallon tank and 30 inches deep, I would think with that plant selection you could use 2 to 4 96 watt cfl's with good reflectors, form AH Supply.

I'm guessing the tank is 8 feet long so 4 bulbs would be good.

I have no idea about the fllood lights.
+1 to this, I think you would need multiple flood lights for each island. You may be able to use 65W PC also depending on the islands' sizes.
