I have 2 20L tanks that I need lights for, something simple, but will fit on little stand I built. I have about 10.5 inches in between each tank to put a light. I would like to be able to have something that will keep plants alive, but will also not be overkill.

Very simple mostly for extra clipping from display tank and for fry.

If it's for grow out only and you have the space a CFL in a work light hood will do wonders, as far as fry... food and hiding spots are way more important than lighting. Keep in mind if you are growing out plants, keeping the substrate consistent with the other tanks is important to prevent melting when you transfer them in.
