i just found 5 dead RCS...all of which are adults

i also found one just sorta twitching there about to die...

how long do these guys live for? i only had them for couple months.

i havent changed a single thing in the tank except added couple potted plants .

not sure if it matters but i see a couple fresh baby shrimp. Not many though maybe 4. And at one point i must of counted at least 6 preggo rcs.

If I remember correctly, RCS lifespan is 2 years. The 5 that died, did they die all about the same time? Or did you have a death once or twice a month?

Do you perform water changes? If so, do use dechlorinator? What kind?

im not sure if they died about the same time...but pretty close my tank is pretty heavily planted well on teh ground wise

and yes i use decholorinator. not sure what kind ill check later but i got it from petco.
Def not an old age caused death. Check into your declorinator like mentioned above. I would only use seachem prime with shrimp.

this would make sense cause i remember back then when i changed TOO much water i would have at least one die off.

i just checked its API aquarium pharmacituicals
Where did you get the new plants? Some plant growers use pesticides on their plants, or sometimes pesticides blow into the plant pools, and that will kill your shrimp. It's best to get your plants from someone who has shrimp.
