Poke ya with a needle!!! Don't worry, if you've donated blood before you know they use huge 16 gauge needles. We will be using 22 or 23 gauge which are much smaller! And you only need to be poked once or twice! But since you're in CA, I guess the trip won't be worth it lol!Free food and drinks.
Wait, your going to do what?
Haha, well I don't think we are gonna do any blood alcohols. And I guess people would be more inclined to donate their arm to use, but we are gonna keep it clean! You guys should set up in front of New Belgium brewing. You should get plenty of takers with "reduced inhibitions."
Good Luck!!!
Thank you!Good luck on your practical!
I remember when I had to stick a newborn baby for the first time about 2 weeks after getting my phlebotomy cert (prior career, long time ago) and it was pretty scary! But, the adults aren't so hard - you'll do great!!!!
Whut?!No way I would be of any help, even if I were close. I hate needles!![]()
I would rather pass on free food, if it meant being stuck & probed with needles. I had to have a procedure once where they go to the artery...arteriagram?{sp} Anyway, they probed and poked and all that. I wound up with a super black bruise as long as my forearm...no thanks!:icon_eek:Whut?!My teacher said if we offered tasty food, people would come swarming by the thousands and let you poke them a bajillion times!!!
Good Luck with your new endeavors. Just act like you've been doing it for 10 years. They won't know. :drool:I start my clinical rotation after Thanksgiving break.
