I've always seen Leporinus fasciatus everywhere but I get little information on them.

What is their temperament? What other fish will they get along with? Are they a hazard to plants? Any info at all is much appreciated.

They can become aggressive, grow up to a foot and are herbivores.

Yeah, they are cool when young, but I would not recommend this fish since they get very large and tear up the tank once they figure out they are a big fish in a small pond.
