Hi,

I have a 95G tank which is low light and low tech. The only plants I have are crypts, java fern and anubias.

I'm curious if these would work as well. I've also seen some with RGB leds, with a remote that allows you change the spectrum.

These won't work for your purposes, I don't think.

How deep is your tank? I.E., how many cm or inches from the substrate to the lighting? That will determine whether something like this will suit your needs.

If the tank isn't more than 28-30cm deep, you could get something similar. 5050SMD Cool White could work, as long as you get the 5 meter strip that contains at least 300 LEDs. You'd be in really low light at 28-30cm if you used a bunch of those strips side by side.

Thanks for the explanation. My tank is 60cm high, so they won't be good for me!

From my reading, the individual emitters (LEDs) are ~150mW each so light penetration would not be particularly useful for a planted tank.

It could work better for fish tank lighting than some of the cheap .05mW LEDs used in cheap fixtures.
