thinking of making the jump from my current Tek 8x54w (only using 4 bulbs at a time) to LED. i have been looking at the tablet fixtures that mount via clamp on type brackets (Innovative Marine 30 Watt 10000K Skkye Light Tablet LED Light) or similar. according to their charts, at 24" depth and 24x24 area, it supplies ~ 40-70 uMols. tank has been running for 5 years now and i do co2 and daily ferts. goal is to maintain the med-high/high light.

Hoppy or anyone that has experience with these fixtures on deeper tanks please chime in. DIY is NOT an option (lazy), and my build skills stink as well. and i dont like hoods, all my tanks are open top.

Anxious to hear the replies to this. I'm in the same situation as you. I havent been on the forums in a while, and am curious how far LED has progressed.
