Hi All,

I am currently working on getting parts to set up my 100 Gallon Planted Tank. I'm interested in using LED Floodlights as that is what my budget is allowing for at the moment.
I'm thinking about using 3 or 4 of these 20s.

My question is has anyone used these with dimmers inline? I will not have a CO2 system for some time so i will be growing just low/ medium light plants. I want the lights to be capable of growing more demanding plants in the future, but not immediately. I might try to wire a 'pot' between the driver and LED.

Would a standard potentiometer wired into the lamps work with these?

Generally if they are not listed as "dimmable" then they can't be dimmed..

"Pot" dimming isn't how most dim anyways.. well not directly..

PWM, Triac, 0-10v are the usual types of dimmers..

What you "pot" dimmers really do............
