I'm looking to upgrade from 8x54 t5ho to led to deal with the depth of this tank. I have been researching kessil a360we and x and sbreef. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have co2 and dose ei. Thanks

Welp for starters 8x54 t5 to led is not an upgrade so you can start there.

48 x 24 x 30..
Replacing about 440 watts:
6 AI Prime freshwaters.

Or this:

Im just getting back in to the hobby after 10 years or so and im having a hard time finding 4 foot 54w ho bulbs for my old 4 bulb fixture and was going to mabe switch to an led fixture. Is cfl still relevant?

4ft standard t5ho's are still common.
Power compacts are not. Efficiency is below t5, t8 ect. Some pin styles are easier to find than others.

Compact fluorescent like twist bulbs are still common..
Sorry your question needs a bit more clarity..

I agree, stick with the T5s. Not sure why you are having a problem finding 48" T5s.

I had Kessils for a reef tank. The problem is shadows from the single point of light. Its hard to light the entire tank evenly like T5s will.
