so what happen if I leave lights on all day? is it bad for the plants when there is no night cycle? btw there is no fish in the tank just shrimps.

even fish need sleep, add a dedicated lights out period for them. get a timer if you need to, they are cheap. Plant wise, you could be starting an algae farm with that much light.

+1 to the algae farm comment. Splurge on a timer, it'll halve the cost of electricity as well!

I want to start an algae farm. I think it would be cool. Just like a tank you don't care about.
