Hey guys, some of the monte carlo leaves are turning yellow.

Light : 12 hrs a day (Split into 2 sessions x 6hr)

Misting lightly with water only once a day.

Cling wrap open for 10 min a day for air circulation.

Qn

1. I can see some baby leaves spreading.

2. At the same time, some of the existing leaves are turning yellow/brown

Am I doing anything wrong ?

I bought some seeds a few weeks ago and it was said to be baby tears but it doesn't look like to me. I sprayed 3 times whit lights on and one big spray at night. I learned that, in my case, they were growing a lot. Also i made, with a super small spray bottle, a solution with seachem advance and sprayed once a week right on them, not everywhere. It worked really good and they still growing inside the water.
All of that because my house is set to be dry and cold. The root system is amazing and they look pretty, even not knowing what they are hahahahaha.

Lately there's been a post a week on this. The seeds are a scam and they usually turn out to be Hygrophila polysperma a federally banned noxious weed in the U.S.

If someone could find a way to make Vallisneria seeds viable for the hobby, I'd be so happy.

Yeah, some die-off is normal. Just make sure the new growth rate is faster than the die-off rate otherwise you probably have an issue.
