I bought 2 Lava Snails for my tank recently and I love them!

They seem perfectly healthy: Moving around, licking the glass, eating algae and leftovers. But even in the store all the snails had this white discoloration on the tip of their shells.

Is this something dangerous? Is there something I can do to fix this? It doesn't seem to have grown since I bought them.

(Also I can't find ANY decent info on these snails. So if anyone knows some good info sources a link would be very appreciated!)

Those are absolutely rabbit snails. They're pretty cool snails and they have live babies unlike most other snails. The discoloration/damage is due to water that is too acidic.
