For those of you with critters who prefer staying dry...
A few of my "other" pets.

The furry ones...

And some of the scaly ones...

Everyone with other pets besides fish, let's see them!

Sure, I'll bite. I only have three other pets besides the fish & shrimp.
Two cats and a dog.

Here they are:

(ahhh the life of a cat)

(German shorthair -- good hunting dog, I might add. Here he is, all tuckered out.)

Ah your ferret is adorable! I've been considering getting a ferret. I wanted a cat but I feel cruel leaving it locked up in my apartment all day. I was thinking a ferret may do better in my little place.

Honestly, how strong is the musky odor? I can handle the little stinker having his odor but I'm not so down with my couch and clothes smelling like it.

Cute lizard too. I had a monitor lizard when I was teen. He got huge. It was so fun to take him outside. His natural instincts would kick in and he would get all aggressive and whip his tail. Gave him up to a petshop eventually, toooo freaking big.
You got a zoo in your house bro....but I love your bearded dragon. I had 2 of my own untill one died then I had to give the other one to someone so it can be with other dragons.
Gundy... love the beardie.
We have a 3-4 year old male who is beautiful and a total couch potato.

Htn86... you think he's got a zoo? Between me, my girlfriend, and two of my room mates we have:

2 Cats
1 Bearded Dragon
1 Schnieder's Skink
17 Snakes
Too many fish to count... fresh and salt
Here's L.E. looking a bit rough. She's a 4 yo cocker spaniel.

In all honesty people who say a ferret smells are on crack! Have you ever smelled a dog after it hasn't had a bath for a couple of weeks? How about hamsters/rats. They all smell the same. On top of that, training a ferret to use a litter box is great. They pick up on it fast and it keeps the poop smell down. Most ferrets sold now a days are descented and neutered/spayed.

My opinion is if ferrets smell, dogs rink. I love all animals and I have a zoo at my places as I work at a LFS but I can't get enough of ferrets and reptiles. The sheer energy of ferrets is truly something to see. And after they get attached to you, its interesting how they adjust their sleeping habits when you are away. The minute you come home they wake up and want to play. Biting can be reduced and controlled. In that picture when Einstein gets riled up he 'laughs' while jumping around. Literally opens his mouth and makes funny noises while chasing you.

The bearded is by far the coolest reptile to date I have had. I've had the opportunity to house a savanah monitor and a couple of other lizards but the personality these guys get is really neat.

Ferrets look pretty cool. I'm not quite sure why they're illegal in CA.
I'll post a pic of my 3 puppies soon but please, a little warning on the close up snake pics? I'm petrified of em'. Those close up's'll give me night mares for a week, and I'm not exagerating!......lol...... Awesome pet shots. Buddy of mine had a Ferret, think he still does, I'll have to ask him. Anyway, that was probably the smartest animal I've ever seen. And smelled 100x better then any cat litter box I've ever come across too. I can tell within 10 seconds of entering your house if you have a cat but I still have yet to EVER smell his ferret. Very lovable, a real lap "ferret" he was (maybe still is)!
