I dont nessecarily want a snail eater, allthough it wouldnt sadden me if they died, but Im really looking for more of a snail egg eater. Are either the Kuhli Loach or Chain Loach a good choice? Im looking for a small loach since they need a buddy or two and I dont want to take up too much space in my tank. Also, will cories eat snail eggs? Ive never kept them but I hear they are great scavengers, and I also hear they prefer vegetable matter, so that wouldnt help in the slightest as I have a lot of vegetarians already. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Im not sure if they will go for eggs or not. Im sure they might, Iv seen my peacock bass go for a batch of eggs but spit them back out. Regardless they will eat the snails preventing eggs in the first place. I would get the chain loach due to small size and they look sweet.

As for cories, I have not seen mine eat snail eggs. I don't think they will. They are mostly for rooting around and grabbing the excess flake/pellets that settles on the gravel. I feed mine this cool sinking pellet called "cory crumbles". My cardinals and pencils love it to.

Definitely Chain loach. Mine are small and very, very active.

I don't think Khuli loaches are snail eaters but I could be wrong. I've kept Khuli's in the past and they tend to hide a lot.

I've also kept an assortment of Corys and I have never seen them eat snail eggs.

I'd second the chain loaches, get a school of 5 or so and forget about dealing with snails.
