I suck up all the stuff on a weekly basis.. but even after I"m done theres still stuff all over it. And its even dirtier by the next day. Anything I can do?
Its Caribsea moonlight sand if that helps... Petco had those giant bags of it on sale for $2 each... I couldnt resist... especially when I saw the leopard cories they had.

Even tips on how to just suck it ALL of would help.. Or how to gather it to one main area or something...

I use a power head pointed in a way so that most of the junk ends up in a corner of the tank, near the intake of my filter. So it wont look that bad during the week.

Or feed less.

Adequately powerful filtration - or the addition of a powerhead - can be used to prevent anything resting on the substrate. But this is dependant upon the amount of plants and hardscape in the tank, and careful outlet placement.

Most people here overfilter their tanks anyway (proudly!), but be aware that the fact that debris lies on the substrate doesn't mean that you have insufficient current.

Ultimately, it's difficult to get around the fact that fish c**p a lot.

Get a turkey baster. Suck up what's dirt and dispose.

I have corys in my 20gal and 5gal tanks.Sand is perfect clean but I keep only 4 betta,4 corys and 6 ottos per tank .
