Hi there! My tank is well established, water tested, and I am ready to add shrimp.

I was thinking of starting with a few blue velvet shrimp and a few crystal black shrimp, both found at my local pet store.

Is it okay too keep these two different species together?

Thanks!

Yes, although it's recommended to gear the tank towards the more sensitive species... which would be the crystal black shrimp.

Do you know what your full parameters are?

As @Zoidburg said, it can be done. But I really think you should pick one species to focus on. Once you think you've got it down pat, then maybe consider another tank with a different species.

There are always going to be trade-offs. Always going to be issues with the Neos if you're keeping them with Caridina. Lifespans will be wonky. It's just not ideal. Take it from me - someone who has kept and occasionally keeps shrimp like this. Separate is always better.
