Last Friday, I purchased a botia sidthimunki (also known as a dwarf chain loach) at the LFS, and am planning to get a couple of friends for him/her today. But since Friday, I think I'm seeing far fewer baby pond snails in the tank. The botia is so tiny, I'm skeptical that it could be responsible for the pond snail population reduction, but I'm really hoping that is the case- since I loathe the slimy little things. Does anyone have any experience with these guys vs. snails? In a previous tank I had Yo-Yos that eliminated it's snails, but they were about 3" to 4" long- this guy is an inch or less.
