My jungle val grows well, has crazy amount of runners but, plants only grow 4-6 inches and then lose their leaves. I find tips of jungle val floating every morning. I run my lights 6 hrs a day, i have finnex planted plus LED's. I don't know what could be causing this, I dose potassium every other day, but as of late haven't dosed in about 2 weeks. This has been happening since day 1. Tank has been running since beginning of november.

Is that all you are dosing? Liquid Carbon supplements can cause Vals to melt

Yeah i had started to use some a bit but once again havent dosed it in 2-3 weeks i would say, I will wait a bit longer but as of today still finding tips floating.

Some people say vals take little to grow, I say they can hold on quite long before dieing. I find one cannot begin to compare the growth of vals in dirt with CO2 to vals in gravel without. Also anytime a leaf gets damaged it basically sacrifices itself, so try to be gentle around it.
Mine are so happy now they almost don't bother sending out runners.
