that looks like a lot of sand. i would be worried of anarobic pockets, and why did you choose sand after everyone told yo flourite or eco would be better? not criticizing just wondering

I have sifted and cleaned the silt. I was forbiden by my parents to boil the silt so I just decided to place it like that in the fish tank. I will be adding the water tomorrow (not today, today was alcohol day) and start the cycling process. I bought some plants so they should be arriving in the mail this week. I will be updating as I do everything. I will be doing a fishless cycle.

Yes it was alot of silt so I took some of it out. I will be getting them this week can't remember what they are. I can only remember Cabombas.....???
I want to experiment. If things don't go well I can always take them to my 29g.
