Jave Fern

I have a Java Fern attached to a piece of driftwood ...and at the end of the leaves I'm seeing new plants / roots. From the quick read I did on-line, will these shoots detach from the main plant, then float around until they find a new home?

I'm not sure I have space for more Java Fern. Is it possible to cut them without damaging the leaf they're attached to?

If I do go to transplant one of these shoots, how do I attach it to the new host?

They detach really easily, just pop them off, I usually leave them until they have a small leaf and rhizome so they are easier to tie onto a rock.
